And the award goes to…

Very honoured (and slightly amused) to receive not one, but two Chemika Awards this year at KU Leuven:
🏆 Professor most likely to get a Nobel Prize
🏆 Most memorable professor
Not sure whether I should be proud or worried about what exactly made me memorable… but I’ll take it 😄

Jokes aside, it really means a lot to receive this kind of recognition from the students themselves. Teaching is one of the most rewarding parts of academic life for me, and it is great to see that the enthusiasm, discussions, chaos, bad jokes, and scientific nerdiness are appreciated.
A big thank you to Chemika vzw for organising the awards, and to everyone who voted, especially all the students who make the classes so fun to teach 🙏

Now I guess I should start working on that Nobel Prize… 👀
